Born in West Virginia, I grew up in Chicago. I am intrigued with old buildings and farms, their history, the people who lived there and worked the land. Perhaps spending summers, as a youth, on my grandparent’s farm in West Virginia has made me particularly drawn to rural settings. My passion is to portray the strength and beauty of the American landscape, perhaps capturing a timeless moment.

My interest in photography started over 20 years ago. I am a self-taught photographer, withformal training in the darkroom. My compositions rely primarily on intuition. I enjoy the spontaneity of working in both black & white and color. The beauty of photography is that it can take many directions, such as life can.

In 1996, encouraged by friends and family, I started to participate in art shows and exhibits. Encouragement continues having won numerous awards, my work can be found in corporate and private collections across the Midwest.
